Yolo County Search & Rescue (SAR)
The Yolo County Search & Rescue (SAR) Program is a newly established volunteer-based service administered by the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office. The SAR Team assists the Sheriff’s Office with search and rescue operations and a variety of support functions throughout the county.
The team is on-call 24/7 and ready to respond to both urban and wilderness search missions. Response times depend on volunteer availability at the time of call-out.

The team is governed by a Board of Directors, meets regularly, and works closely with a Sheriff’s Office liaison deputy.
